Day 120 - April 30, 2010

Throwing all of the cushions and pillows off the couch and onto the floor has been a very popular activity with the kids lately. This morning, the kids were sitting on a cushion pretending to drive a truck. And, yes, Heath doesn't have any pants on. He refused to put them on and it wasn't a fight worth having at the moment. He did manage to get them on before we left the house later in the morning.

Day 119 - April 29, 2010

At school today Susannah wrote Heath a letter. When we got home, she opened the envelope (which she proudly sealed herself) and read the letter to Heath. It said something along the lines of "hope that you had a nice day at home and you went to the YMCA." Here she is reading it to Heath.

Day 118 - April 28, 2010

I went to a pampering event last week and came home with some goodies - headband, facial scrubber and handtowel. The kids were having a great time trying on the headband. Both looked really cute but with one headband and two kids - the pix could only be of one of them.

Day 117 - April 27, 2010

The Texas heat is about to scorch us so we have to take advantage of nice weather when we can. It was a beautiful afternoon, only about 85 degrees, so we played at the park.

Monday, April 26, 2010

Day 116 - April 26, 2010

Heath is trying to get a taste of Susannah's yogurt with blueberries by climbing up the side of her chair. She's wise to his tricks. Not happening.

Sunday, April 25, 2010

Day 115 - April 25, 2010

We are continuing our Sunday Family Adventures with a trip out to the hill county to see the Longhorn Caverns State Park. Here is Matt and the kids on our way out of the caverns.

Saturday, April 24, 2010

Day 114 - April 24, 2010

Here is Susannah resting and hydrating during her Saturday morning soccer game. She played about 1/2 of the game and even got in a good kick.

Friday, April 23, 2010

Day 113 - April 23, 2010

Here are the kids pretending to be lost kittens. They are meowing and crawling around the floor.

Thursday, April 22, 2010

Day 112 - April 22, 2010

Here is Matt reading the kids a book before he heads off for work.

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Day 111 - April 21, 2010

We had some friends over for dinner last night and they have 2 kids, one of which was 6 months old. I brought the exersaucer down from the office closet for the baby to play with while we ate dinner. From the minute that I brought it down, Heath wanted to sit in it. And he would climb in, but he couldn't get out without help. Heath is lucky that Susannah was willing to try and help.

Day 110 - April 20, 2010

Matt has been dropping Susannah off at school on Tuesdays and Thursdays mornings. And sometimes Heath is still in bed when she leaves. Those days are particularly hard on Heath as he really loves to spend time with his sister. So today when we went to pick up Susannah and she was still on her nap mat, Heath grabbed that opportunity to snuggle up to his sister. Their love is amazing and warms my heart.

Day 109 - April 19, 2010

It is starting to get warm already here. But we did have one chilly night where the kids needed hoodies on to be outside after dinner. Both of my kids love swinging.

Sunday, April 18, 2010

Day 108 - April 18, 2010

Here is Matt and the kids standing under a natural rock shelf at McKinney Falls State Park.

Saturday, April 17, 2010

Day 107 - April 17, 2010

Here is some teeth brushing fun. Susannah is doing her silly wiggle dance where she puts her arms out and wiggles her butt.

Friday, April 16, 2010

Day 106 - April 16, 2010

We had one of our A/C units replaced today. Unfortunately they had to access the attic from Heath's room and he wasn't able to take a nap. While Heath can make it through the day without a nap, today he was pretty tired. Here is Susannah and Heath snuggling up and watching some TV after lunch.

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Day 105 - April 15, 2010

Unfortunately, Maxine, our cat, is sick. We suspected that she had another bout of pancreatitis. Here are the kids saying goodbye to Maxie as she heads out for a day at the vet.

Update - Maxine is home and feeling better. She has had pancreatitis several times and we've been lucky that the antibiotics that they give her make her feel better.

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

Day 104 - April 14, 2010

Here are the kids enjoying some of their Easter candy after lunch today. Nice blue lips, Heath!

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Day 103 - April 13, 2010

Wildflowers, bluebonnets especially, are all over central Texas at this time of year. They are lovely and bring a smile to your face whenever you see them. I was happy to find a place to take pictures of the kids away from traffic (lots of wildflowers are found on the sides of highways and busy roads).

Monday, April 12, 2010

Day 102 - April 12, 2010

Here are the kids playing with Heath's racetrack in the living room.

Sunday, April 11, 2010

Day 101 - April 11, 2010

It has been 5 years since we went to Hamilton Pool. In fact, the last time that we were there was several days before I found out that I was pregnant with Susannah. Here are the kids standing in front of the waterfall into the pool. After we were done hiking around, we continued out into the country and went strawberry picking. Yum!

Saturday, April 10, 2010

Day 100 - April 10, 2010

Fill 'er up! Here's Matt and the kids on the playgroup after soccer this morning. Looks Matt is the one having the most fun (or he's just the best paying attention and posing for pictures).

Friday, April 9, 2010

Day 99 - April 9, 2010

Time for April's Craft Day. Here are the kids playing with some toys at Maureen's house. Maureen has a son and daughter so there were tons of toy choices. Heath loved the spaceship and Susannah was having fun with the character figurines. After playing, the kids decorated buckets with stickers and planted flower seeds inside them.

Thursday, April 8, 2010

Day 98 - April 8, 2010

Hanging out and reading. Happens a lot around here.

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

Day 97 - April 7, 2010

We started a hiking club with our MOMS Club. Each month, we take the kids on a hike at an area park and look for treasures to put in our muslin pouches (made at Craft Day on March 15th). We're planning on making a nature collage with items that we've collected.

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Day 96 - April 6, 2010

It was project time. Susannah was doing some of her handwork a.k.a. embroidery and Heath was occupying himself with playdoh.

Monday, April 5, 2010

Day 95 - April 5, 2010

Here are my kitchen helpers. Although the amount that they actually help is questionable especially since they are yelling through sieves.

Sunday, April 4, 2010

Day 94 - April 4, 2010

Happy Easter! After an egg hunt in the front yard, it was time for cascarones - confetti eggs. Here are the kids smashing the eggs on my head and dumping out the confetti. Heath perfecting a technique of poking his finger thought the top and just dumping the confetti instead to try to break the egg (they are made of real shells) over my head.

Saturday, April 3, 2010

Day 93 - April 3, 2010

Susannah started soccer on Saturday mornings. So we won't be able to see our favorite kids artist, Laura Freeman, for her free Saturday shows at Flipnotics. We took advantage of our week off of soccer for Easter to catch a show. More of the kids dancing.

Friday, April 2, 2010

Day 92 - April 2, 2010

Here are the kids canoeing at the McKenna Children's Museum in New Braunfels. The museum has a ton of fun things for the kids to do - pretend camping, massive train table, pretend bank and a pretend grocery store complete with food and shopping carts. Plus a huge outside water station. The kids had a great time.

Day 91 - April 1, 2010

Darn it, it's been 90 days and today I finally forgot to take the kids pictures. Shoot!

Just kidding, April Fools! I didn't forget. Here are the kids at our MOMS Club Spring Fling party. And, yes, Heath is trying to eat the bubbles. Ick!
